BLOG 23: DAY ONE ON SET

BLOG 23: DAY ONE ON SET

Hey, sweeties🍯, welcome back to my blog!

Today's blog will be about our first day of filming. I will walk you through our shooting schedule as well as elaborate on the process of filming. Since all of you guys were so dedicated to my blogs, I will include some on-scene pictures (EXCLUSIVELY for you😘). With that being said, let's get started with our content!!

The 3rd is the date that ends my sleepless night. Even though I was on winter break, my mind wasn't; I was so nervous, I kept thinking about what I could do prior to the shooting to ensure the shooting goes smoothly. My overthinking tendencies went through the ROOF🏚️. First we start the day with some breakfast; we decided to eat at IHOP and let me tell you, we waited 40 minutes for only 3 plates of food (already a bad start 🥲). As a result we were an hour behind our shooting schedule; however, the shooting went smoothly instead. There were some challenges along the way, like how we add in new angles while filming, and more surprisingly, we added more scenes in the opener (you didn't see this coming, right?😭). Since some scenes were not turning out like how we wanted them to be, we had an EMERGENCY meeting to come up with a quick solution (it was a MESS). Not stopping at that, we got into a bunch of arguments; everyone was disagreeing on EVERYTHING, from the little things, like camera shots and camera sizes, to big details like lighting. It was difficult but we made it through, so guys, let's give us a round of applause 👏🏻👏🏻.

The next big problem is the sound; since we filmed at Little Miss Cleongy's house, we can't just mute her family members; hence there is lots of unwanted background noise in the opener. To make things worse, since the noises were too loud, we can't even capture the sound effects of the props. Unfortunately, we were forced to do them in the foley stage, and this is the thing I'm worried about the most. As we don't have experience with sound effects, it can be challenging to match up the sound with the action; worst-case scenario, we have to refilm in the near future (but let's stay optimistic🤞🏻). Afterward, Little Miss Cleongy's mom decided to reward us with a big pot of goulash; it was DELICIOUS. This is my first time trying this dish, and it for sure won't be my last (only if Little Miss Cleongy's mom allows, of course😉). The food BOOSTED everyone's energy; thanks to the dish, we were able to wrap up the shooting shortly after. Not too long after, we decided to feast on the cake, one of the props, and chit-chat about our future life in college. To be honest, this was more like a food festival than a serious shooting session but I prefer it this way, and as I promised, I will insert the on-scene photos below🤭.
